Full Description
This luxury villa in Baan Yamu was designed by renowned Thai architect Duangrit Bunnag (DBALP). Completed in 2011 and fully renovated in 2023, the property offers 1,500 sqm of interior space across four levels. Built as a standalone family home, it combines contemporary architecture with panoramic views over the Andaman Sea and Phang Nga limestone islands.
Arrival and Entrance
Access is via a dramatic stone bridge, with a waterfall on one side and a fountain on the other, leading directly into the main living spaces. The positioning of the entrance frames the open sea beyond, creating an immediate focal point.
Upper Living Level
The top floor functions as the main arrival level. A garage with two parking spaces connects to the entrance bridge. Inside, large dual living areas open onto a wide terrace. The Italian marble dining space adjoins a custom-designed kitchen. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors allow the interiors to merge with the outdoor pool deck and 15-meter swimming pool.
Second Level – Family Space and Bedrooms
A floating staircase leads down to a family entertainment area with teak flooring. This level houses the master suite, which includes a walk-in wardrobe, a private sauna, and a large bathroom with dual outlooks over both the waterfall and the sea. Alongside are two additional bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and direct access to the corridor overlooking water features.
Third Level – Guest Accommodation
The next level contains a further bedroom with en-suite facilities and its own living area. Large windows provide sea views, creating an independent space suitable for guests or extended family.
Lower Level – Additional Rooms and Staff Quarters
The lowest floor includes a fourth bedroom with en-suite bathroom, alongside a flexible space suited for a home office or gym. Beneath this level are service areas, including two staff quarters, a washing area, and a secondary kitchen. Technical rooms such as pump rooms and surge tanks are also positioned here.
Outdoor and Recreational Spaces
The villa integrates multiple outdoor features including a wraparound pool deck, a yoga or barbecue area, and landscaped gardens. Water features such as a lily pond, waterfall pond, and fountain are positioned across different levels to reinforce the villa’s connection to its natural surroundings.
Sustainable Design
The property is equipped with its own solar panel array, providing off-grid energy capability. Combined with carefully designed storage and utility spaces, the villa offers a high level of self-sufficiency.
