Eco Habitat – Dir Nest is a limited collection of just five three-bedroom eco-focused villas in Maenam, Koh Samui, combining sustainable building principles with contemporary tropical design. Each villa offers 363 sqm of living space set on land plots ranging from 778 to 1061 sqm, positioned within a quiet northern area of the island.
The layout is designed around natural airflow and daylight. Open-plan living areas maximise cross-ventilation to reduce reliance on air conditioning, while strategically placed windows increase natural light and minimise artificial lighting demand. The villas include three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with one bathtub incorporated into the design. Interiors are built with sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems, reflecting the development’s environmental focus.
A central leaf-shaped swimming pool forms the focal point of each home, with a lawn area surrounding the property to create usable outdoor space. Two-car parking is integrated into the design, and a modern automatic door system provides controlled access.
The development incorporates several advanced sustainability systems. A 10 kW solar power installation is designed to reduce electricity consumption, with projected savings of approximately 84,000 THB per year. An air water generator extracts drinking water from humidity, producing up to 16 litres per day and estimated to save around 54,000 THB annually. A food waste decomposer processes up to 2 kilograms of waste daily, reducing landfill impact by approximately 720 kilograms per year. Groundwater drilling supports long-term water supply, and in-home CCTV enhances security. Night-time security is also provided within the project.
Maenam is known for its quieter residential character while remaining connected to key amenities. The villas are located within reach of schools, hospitals, shopping areas and the island’s main transport routes. With only five units available, Eco Habitat – Dir Nest presents a low-density development focused on energy efficiency, environmental responsibility and modern residential comfort in Koh Samui.
